Gawain Wagner

Vice President of Logistics

Gawain Wagner is an industry professional with over 34 years of experience in warehousing and logistics. He has worked with many freight, broker and manufacturing partners in the US and overseas, bringing detailed knowledge in the realm of shipping and supply chain logistics to the valued clients that AMS serves.

As the AMS VP of Logistics, Gawain is responsible for managing the shipping/logistics team and working directly with all of AMS’ carrier partners. Gawain and his team ensure the right carriers, service levels and prices are the best fit for AMS’ clients. He works on complex compliance requirements for domestic and international shipping of manufactured goods, including goods that are considered hazardous materials.

Gawain was born in Ventura County CA and lives there with his family today. He started working for the family business at age 14. At age 20 he started work at Patagonia in the warehouse picking, packing, receiving, QC, and shipping. After a year he moved into inventory management. In 1996 Patagonia relocated the warehouse to Nevada and Gawain moved to the Ventura corporate office as a CAD/CAM technician. In his 24 years at Patagonia Gawain held positions in inventory control, offshore production management, raw material purchasing and material planning.

In 2014 Gawain accepted a position as Production Manager at Neff Headwear. He became the Director of Production and in a year the V.P. of Operations. Gawain was there for four years and then Neff was sold, and he became a brand consultant working with several startups and AMS. In 2019 he received an offer to join AMS as the Director of Shipping. After three years in that position, he was promoted to Vice President of Logistics.

Gawain enjoys motorsports, music, cooking and has a special passion for motorcycles of all kinds. He loves time with family, his dogs, and those weekend rides out in Southern California. Gawain has been married for 35 years and has three sons and twin granddaughters.
