We salute the men and women who are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, and in the National Guard and Reserve units of the U.S. Armed Forces, augmenting the active-duty military services of the Army, the Navy, the Coast Guard, the Marine Corps and the Air Force.
U.S. military service can bring about the ultimate sacrifice, and we honor these men and women for being willing to make that sacrifice on behalf of our country. We are grateful that military training and service can be a benefit to soldiers when they leave the military by educating, strengthening and empowering them for a lifetime. We also know that military service can involve a sacrifice of health and wellbeing along with other unanticipated challenges.
As an employer, AMS is aware of employment issues that military members face during and after discharge from service. We look for ways to help those who are returning to civilian life, making veterans an important part of our workforce development programs.
At Military.com we find the history of this day of commemoration:
“Among the many military holidays celebrated each year is Armed Forces Day. Celebrated the third Saturday in May, Armed Forces Day falls during Military Appreciation Month and joins Memorial Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, and Victory in Europe Day (V-E Day) as another May military-themed holiday.
“On Aug. 31, 1949, Defense Secretary Louis Johnson announced the creation of an Armed Forces Day to replace separate Army, Navy and Air Force Days. The single-day celebration stemmed from the unification of the armed forces under one agency — the Department of Defense.”

Armed Forces Day will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21st, in American communities and on military bases throughout the world with parades, picnics, shopping discounts, festivals and parties.
From all of us at AMS Fulfillment, we offer our gratitude and appreciation to members of the U.S. Armed Forces among us and in our communities. Thank You!!
