Hi! I’m Kristen.
Role
As Payroll Manager, I process payroll for the West and other payroll related items on a day-to-day basis, and I have been with AMS since February 2019.
During my time at AMS, I have been able to grow my professional career by learning from my coworkers. I am lucky enough to work with a group of people who have a lot of diverse knowledge and backgrounds.
Challenges
I went from HR to Payroll, so that transition was a challenge due to learning most everything on the go. I was able to overcome them by spending time away from work learning everything I needed to know to do my job. The time spent learning my new role early on has allowed me to grow into the position I am in now.
Motivation
I motivate myself by knowing that what I do does not just affect myself, but my coworkers. So, if I do not give the best effort, it can affect other people’s day. Always work hard even when it’s hard to motivate yourself.
