Hi! I’m Valentin.
I am an Inventory Receiving Specialist I at Headquarters, CA, and I have been with AMS since October 2021.
My proudest work accomplishment is being an employee of the month.
My mentor is Lupe Rodriguez, Receiving Supervisor at HQ. She has taken her time to teach me WAMS and proper phone use.
My biggest career goal is to be a full-time truck driver, as that is my passion at AMS… doing the work and helping all my co-workers.
The most challenging aspect of my job is using the phone. I am not technology savvy, but I have been getting better at it with the help of my leaders.
If I could go back to the start of my career and give myself one piece of advice, it would be to learn the phone and WAMS faster. That has been my struggle since day one.
If I could switch jobs with anyone in the company for a day, I would switch to the Maintenance Department as they get to fix all the issues at AMS.
One misconception that I wish people better understood about a specific part of my identity is talking is my way of getting to know and understand people better.

A mantra that I live by is “Get it done.”
My coworkers would be surprised to learn that I have two little dogs, Jack and Pewee.
I am passionate about animals and taking care of my dogs.
My favorite family recipe is my mom’s pozole.
My favorite hobby outside of work is hiking every weekend.
If I were on a deserted island, the three items I would bring with me are a knife, water, and my dogs.
