The letter to shareholders said, “The percentages represent the share of physical gross merchandise sales sold on Amazon by independent third-party sellers – mostly small- and medium-sized businesses – as opposed to Amazon retail’s own first party sales.” They pointed out that their first-party business has grown dramatically as well, but third-party sales did significantly better.
AMS Fulfillment has it’s own role in the eCommerce success stories. We work with Amazon every day on behalf of our clients. As an established provider of Seller Fulfilled Prime, AMS has seen and been a part of the growth that the company has experienced. Our clients also use other Amazon sales channels, such as drop shipping via Merchant Fulfilled Network/Fulfilled by Merchant, and sending bulk orders for fulfillment by Amazon.
At the AMS website we explain that “…the brands we support, if they choose, can sell directly on Amazon, be fulfilled by AMS, and maintain their customer branding and premium experience.” This kind of nuanced service, plus storage and shipping benefits to clients, does play a role in in the skyrocketing world of eCommerce as well as Amazon third-party sales figures.
The letter to shareholders went on to talk about successes and failures over the years, future plans, and Amazon’s commitment to invest in employees. For example, the company has stepped into a position of leadership with regard to employee wages and benefits. This is all very good news, and we congratulate Amazon on its inspiring efforts.
Amazon is enjoying huge growth, as is Amazon Prime, and AMS is pleased to offer our complimentary services to businesses that choose to work with us and utilize the growing Amazon sales channels.
